Lemont High School announces November "Students of the Month
Gary Gray Board Member | Lemont High School

Four students from Lemont High School were recognized as November "Students of the Month" at the district's Board of Education meeting on November 18. The honorees included senior Krisha Patel for Social Studies, junior Meda Malinauskaite for the Center for Academic Vision & Excellence, sophomore Yehor Pohonchenko for English, and freshman Amelia Styrczula for Industrial Technology.

Lemont High School acknowledges one student from each grade level every month for their hard work and dedication to both the school and community. The selection process rotates among different departments monthly. Throughout the academic year, a total of 32 students receive this honor, with four being recognized each month from October through May. Students can only be chosen once during their time at Lemont High School.

Local businessman Brad Grcevic, associated with Edward Jones, Inc. in Lemont, donates to a charity selected by the "Student of the Month" awardees each month. For December 2024, the recipients chose Feed6 and the Lemont High School National Honor Society to receive this donation.
