The Village of Lemont has announced that a holiday event will take place in Downtown Lemont on December 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. The event will feature family-friendly crafts and activities hosted by local businesses. While most activities are free, some may have varying times.
According to the Village of Lemont, Front Street will host DJ Hawthorne, the Little Mountain Community Theatre Carolers, and Tractor Hay Wagon Rides from 5 to 8 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys or winter clothing items for the annual Tractors for Toys drive.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Front Street at General Fry's Landing, adjacent to Next Mex.
Main, Canal, and Stephen Streets will also have various activities. These include a Jingle Dance Party on Main Street, Story Time with Mrs. Claus on Canal Street, and an opportunity to visit Santa at The Bridge banquet hall from 2 to 4:45 p.m., located at 44 Stephen Street. Visitors should bring their own cameras for photos with Santa. A balloon artist will be present as well.
Additional offerings include artisan and food vendors, free hot chocolate and popcorn stations, and a holiday selfie station.
