Lisowski's four saves and Sowa's successful conversion in the shootout's twelfth round secured Lemont’s advancement with a 7-6 win.
The team did not concede any goals in its initial four postseason games, winning their own IHSA Regional by defeating Tinley Park (2-0, double overtime) and Bremen (2-0). They claimed their first sectional title since 2011 with victories over Providence Catholic (3-0) and Brother Rice (2-0).
