Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 11.2% of River Valley School’s student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 63 Hispanic students enrolled in River Valley School in the 2022-23 school year, 1.6% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 564 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 11.2% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the school.

The school is located in Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A with a central office in Lemont.

Among the three schools in Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A, Old Quarry Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 816 students.

Illinois registered one of the largest enrollment drops during the pandemic. Since 2020, the Prarie State lost nearly 118,000 students, further intensifying a decline trend established since 2013.
