Lemont High School seeks nominations for its Alumni Hall of Fame
Eric Michaelsen, Principal | Lemont High School

Lemont High School is accepting nominations for its Alumni Hall of Fame, an initiative aimed at recognizing graduates who have made significant contributions to society and serve as role models for current students. The Hall of Fame is described by the school as "an important part of fostering school and community pride and recognizing the achievements of those individuals who have made Lemont High School an outstanding academic institution."

The Alumni Hall of Fame honors graduates who are eligible for induction ten years after graduation. According to the school, nominees must be of good character, reflecting qualities and ideals set forth by Lemont High School. Candidates should have achieved notable success in their professional fields or may be nominated based on acts of bravery, heroism, or community service. The school states that nominees "should serve as role models for current students by consistently demonstrating the highest ethical and moral standards - both as a student and an alumnus."

Nominations can be submitted not only by alumni but also by teachers, staff, students, family members, business leaders, civic leaders, and other community members. Nominations are due by Friday, October 31. For further information about nominations, Director of Communications Tony Hamilton can be contacted at (630) 243-3280 or via email.

The class of 2025 inductees will be honored at the annual Band Dinner Dance scheduled for March 8, 2025.

The Alumni Hall of Fame operates separately from the school's Athletic Hall of Fame. The Athletic Hall has recognized alumni, coaches, parents, and community members for athletic accomplishments since its establishment in 2004. However, individuals honored in the Athletic Hall may also qualify for inclusion in the Alumni Hall if they meet selection criteria.
