Four students from Lemont High School were recognized as "Students of the Month" for May during the district's Board of Education meeting on May 12. The honorees included senior Emma Lagan, junior Madeline Galassi, sophomore Krista Loula, and freshman William Sagotz.
Lemont High School awards this honor monthly to one student from each grade level who demonstrates hard work and dedication. The selection rotates among different departments within the school each month. In total, 32 students receive this accolade annually, with four individuals honored monthly from October through May. Students can only receive this recognition once during their time at Lemont High School.
Local businessman Brad Grcevic from Edward Jones, Inc. in Lemont contributes a donation each month to a charity chosen by the award winners. This month’s recipients selected the Hope & Friendship Foundation to benefit from the donation.
