Four students from Lemont High School were recognized as March's "Students of the Month" during a Board of Education meeting on March 17. The honored students are senior Vikram Oberai for Business, junior Nick Persak for Science, sophomore Annabelle Franzese for Music, and freshman Ben George for Mathematics.
Lemont High School acknowledges one student from each grade every month for their hard work and dedication to both the school and the community. The recognition rotates among different departments monthly. In total, 32 students receive this accolade annually, with four individuals being recognized each month from October through May. Students can only be selected once during their time at Lemont High School.
Local businessman Brad Grcevic from Edward Jones, Inc. in Lemont supports this initiative by donating to a charity chosen by the award recipients each month. This month's winners have chosen The Trevor Project as the beneficiary of the donation.
