Four students from Lemont High School were recognized as "Students of the Month" for February at the district's Board of Education meeting on February 18. The honored students included senior Claire Young, who excelled in World Languages; junior Olivia Blaszynski, noted for her achievements in Family & Consumer Sciences; sophomore Brady Collins, recognized in Physical Education; and freshman Olimpia Witek, acknowledged for her contributions to Art.
The school acknowledges one student from each grade level every month for their dedication to both school and community. The selection process rotates among various departments monthly. Over a school year, only 32 students receive this recognition, with four students honored each month from October through May. A student can earn this distinction just once during their time at Lemont High School.
In addition to the recognition, local businessman Brad Grcevic from Edward Jones, Inc. (Lemont) donates to a charity chosen by the award winners each month. For February, the selected charity was the #EllieStrong Forever Foundation.
