Lemont High School's Drama Club is preparing to engage its audience in an interactive experience with the production of "Live Theater Unplugged." The show will be performed in a black box style, allowing the audience to share the stage with the actors. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. each night from Thursday, February 6, through Saturday, February 8.
Tickets for the event are priced at $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens. They can be purchased on Lemont High School's website or at the door with cash, though seating is limited and advance purchase is recommended. Seating will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
"Live Theater Unplugged" features two one-act plays: 'Bad Auditions by Bad Actors' and 'The Rehearsal.' These performances aim to offer insights into theatrical productions by showcasing their inherent chaos and humor. The direction of this production is under Brenda Perez de Tejada.
In addition to the drama club's performance, Lemont High School’s Art Department will present a winter art exhibition in Gallery 306. This exhibition will be open nightly from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m., preceding the play.
For those attending "Live Theater Unplugged," parking is available in both the school's parking garage and an adjacent lot outside the Performing Arts Center, accessible via Julia Street. Lemont High School is located at 800 Porter Street in Lemont.
