Lemont High School inducts nearly 90 students into National Honor Society

Lemont High School recently conducted its annual National Honor Society induction ceremony, welcoming 89 students from the junior and senior classes into the Harold Julian Chapter. This addition brings the total number of members to 195, including those inducted last year.

The National Honor Society recognizes students who exhibit qualities such as scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Membership is open to juniors and seniors at Lemont High School. The chapter is named after a former teacher at the school.

Among this year's inductees are 21 seniors: Angelina Armia, Liepa Baranauskas, Nicholas Bielanski, Sofia Elhrisse, Nicholas Hadjioannou, Anicka Herout, Shea Holt, Emilia Kolasinski, Victoria Krol, Sofia Kuziel, Milena Maksimovich, Jovana Maksimovich, Samira Muradova, Michael Owca, Charlotte Putt, Luke Robbins, Savannah Schikora, Joslin Stout, Colleen Ulatowski, Molly Wallace and Jessica Windstrup.

The junior class contributed 68 new members: Isabella Alagna through Nadia Wodziak were recognized for their achievements.

Previously inducted students include names like Michael Arnashus and Madelyn Zolecki among others. The society's co-sponsors are English teacher Marek Dron and counselor Trisha Weber.
