Lemont High School's boys' soccer team achieved a commendable fourth-place finish at the 2024 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 2A Boys' Soccer Finals.

According to head coach Rick Prangen, this marks the team's first appearance in the IHSA sectionals since 2011 and their second state finals appearance since 2007. The team also set a new school record with 23 wins this season.

The team secured victories against Chicago Brother Rice, with a score of 2-0 in the Sectional Finals, and Peoria Notre Dame, with a score of 7-6 in the Super Sectionals. However, they were defeated by Belleville Althoff Catholic, 1-0, in the State Semifinals.

Prangen highlighted that Lemont's impressive 10-1 league record earned them the South Suburban Conference-Blue Division title. The school now boasts a total of 14 IHSA Regional titles and 12 conference titles.

Senior Tyler Chrisman was recognized for his outstanding performance by scoring 25 points on five goals and providing 15 assists. He was named an Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association (IHSSCA) All-State performer, marking the first time anyone from Lemont has received this honor. Additionally, junior Adrian Lisowski, senior Vincenzo Mancini, and sophomore Andrew Guzy were awarded IHSSCA All-Sectional honors.
