SD113A recognizes Old Quarry Cross Country Team

Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District has recognized the Old Quarry Cross Country Team for their commendable performance this season.

According to the district, the girls' team placed fifth at the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) State Meet in Normal, Illinois, with one player earning sixth place individually. Lemont Old Quarry scored 197 points in the Girls 4A competition. The team members include Julia Farley, Rylee Russell, Raye Pavlis, Kaida Mescher, Mia Merkouris, Maura Power, and Gracey Earnest.

Julia Farley, a sixth grader, earned sixth place with a time of 12:04.50.
