Lemont Township High School Education: 13 Black students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 13 Black students enrolled in Lemont Township High School in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 1,317 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 1% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the school.

The school is located in Lemont Township High School District 210 with a central office in Lemont.

Lemont Township High School was the only school in the district which enrolled Black students, welcoming 13 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Illinois registered one of the largest enrollment drops during the pandemic. Since 2020, the Prarie State lost nearly 118,000 students, further intensifying a decline trend established since 2013.
