Lemont High School announces October Students of the Month
Beverly Marzec Board Member | Lemont High School

Four students from Lemont High School were recognized as "Students of the Month" for October at the district's Board of Education meeting held on October 21. The honored students included senior Maggie Prochaska for Physical Education, junior Natalie Hamersly for Art, sophomore Fallyn Arnold for World Languages, and freshman Sonia Marusarz for Family & Consumer Sciences.

Lemont High School awards a student from each grade level every month to acknowledge their hard work and dedication to both the school and the community. The selection process rotates among different departments each month. A total of 32 students receive this accolade annually, with four individuals recognized each month from October through May. Students can only receive this honor once during their time at Lemont High School.

Local businessman Brad Grcevic from Edward Jones, Inc. in Lemont makes a monthly donation to a charity chosen by the "Student of the Month" winners. For October, the selected charities were Feed6 and the Lemont High School National Honor Society.
