The Lemont High School Educational Foundation (LHSEF) is set to host its annual fundraiser, "Food for Thought: Taste of Lemont," on Saturday, September 7. The event will take place from 5-11 p.m. near the Metra Lot in downtown Lemont and promises an array of local food and beverages along with live music.
On July 31, James D. and Andrew and Tara Filicicchia purchased a property at 14439 131st St., Lemont from Daniel Filicicchia (trustee), J. Filicicchia Dominic (trust) and M. Filicicchia Joanne (trust).
A property at 721 Kruk St., Lemont was sold on July 30 by William G. Balrig (trustee), Barbara J. Balrig (trustee), William G. Balrig (trust) and Barbara J. Balrig (trust) for $535,000. The buyers were Nicholas John and Karen M. Kishbaugh.
A property at 3 Liberty Drive, Lemont was sold on July 29 by Aaron J. and Andrea N. and Jerome Loos for $485,000. The buyers were Matthew and Rita Rouleau.

A property at 9 Warner Circle, Lemont was sold on July 24 by Gail Lucille Vermejan (trustee) and Provisions of Mary Frances Farano (trust) for $365,000. The buyers were Kevin and Susan Cronin.
A property at 527 Keepataw Drive, Lemont was sold on July 22 by Chicago Title Land Trust Co. (trustee) for $340,000. The buyer was Christopher Pavlopoulos.
Lemont High School has recognized 952 students for their academic achievements in the second semester of the 2023-24 school year. Students were awarded either Honor Roll or High Honor Roll distinctions.
Lemont High School's baseball team concluded a remarkable playoff journey with their third state trophy, finishing as the IHSA Class 3A State Runner-Up. The team, led by head coach Brian Storako, advanced to the championship after defeating Highland 6-3 in the semifinals but fell to Crystal Lake Central 3-2 in the final held at Joliet’s Duly Health and Care Field on June 8.
