The Lemont High School Athletic Hall of Fame is set to welcome its newest members during a ceremony scheduled for September 15 at Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont. The 18th induction class includes Linda (Kacinskas) Anifer, Becky (Cortesi) Caruso, Clayton Fejedelem, and Shawn “PJ” Pipes.
There was no change in number of active legal licenses in Lemont in July compared to the previous month, according to the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois.
A property at 1249 Cronin Court, Lemont was sold on Sept. 4 by Eileen Koller (trustee) and Maria E. Mannion (trust) for $625,000. The buyers were Lawrence and Cynthia Rizzo.
A property at 13762 Steeples Road, Lemont was sold on Sept. 6 by Arthur G. Dion Jr. (trustee), Lillian A. Dion (trustee), Arthur Dion (trust) and Lillian Dion (trust) for $426,500. The buyers were Cathy Cepican and Linda Bensen.
Lemont High School has announced that seniors Leonardo Rafacz and Nora Thornber have been named National Merit Semifinalists. This recognition comes as a result of their performance on the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). In addition, seven other students from Lemont High School received National Merit Commended Students distinction.
On Sept. 10, Maria Kois purchased a property at 1409 128th St., Lemont from Ricky Lynn Napier (trustee), Debra Sue Napier (trustee), Napier Ricky (trust) and Napier Debra (trust).
The Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education has been acknowledged by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) for its governance practices. The board is among 46 to receive the IASB's 2024 School Board Governance Recognition designation, which it will hold for two years. This award highlights school boards that demonstrate excellence in local school governance through specific activities and behaviors.
A property at 719 Singer Ave., Lemont was sold on Sept. 11 by William Francis Hill III (trustee) and Hill (trust) for $360,000. The buyers were Mark and Kaitlin Sidler.
