Lemont High School's Junior Achievement company, Lemont Publishing, Inc., has sold out its two new products during the presale period. The products, "Luno" and "Lemont It," are local versions of popular games "Uno" and "Spot It," respectively. Community members contributed photos of Lemont landmarks for the cover and game cards of "Lemont It."
The presale offered these games at a discounted price, with all units selling out within three weeks. Lemont Publishing, Inc. expressed gratitude for the community's support.
Purchases can be picked up at Lemont High School on December 17 and 18 from 3-6 p.m., though delivery may face delays due to supply chain issues. No items will be mailed.
The Junior Achievement organization at Lemont annually creates a business from scratch. A student-led board manages product creation, stock sales, and marketing to earn dividends for shareholders.
This year's board consists of seniors Milena Maksimovich (President) and Hailey Vasvery (Team Leader of Finance), along with juniors Mykala Kunickis (Team Leader of Customer Service & Sales), Maggie Sinnett (Team Leader of Marketing), and Michael Tilly (Team Leader of Supply Chain).
Junior Achievement is an educational nonprofit founded in 1919 that promotes financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship in schools. The Chicago office is the largest in the U.S., connecting classroom learning with real-world applications.
Lemont High School's Junior Achievement has received ten Chicagoland "Company of the Year" awards over the past 16 years, including in 2023 and 2024.
